Sparta Guard Terms & Conditions (Summary)
1. Introduction
By using Sparta Guard, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Sparta Guard is operated by UberGuard Security Limited and provides a platform that enables customers to book professional security services.
2. Our Services
Sparta Guard provides:
* SOS Emergency Response – Alerts nearby SIA-licensed security professionals to emergency requests. While we aim to attend within one hour, response times cannot be guaranteed.
* Book-a-Guard – Enables customers to book security personnel in advance for planned assignments.
3. Security Personnel
Security services may be provided either:
* Directly by Sparta Guard Security Limited, where applicable; or
* By independent self-employed SIA-licensed security contractors using the Sparta Guard platform.
Where independent contractors are used, they remain responsible for the services they provide.
4. User Accounts
Users must:
* Be at least 18 years of age.
* Provide accurate account information.
* Keep account details secure.
* Use the platform lawfully and responsibly.
5. Payments
* Payment is due immediately unless otherwise agreed in writing.
* By accepting a quotation, confirming a booking or allowing work to commence, you agree to these Terms.
* Charges are final and non-refundable unless Sparta Guard Security Limited agrees otherwise.
* Late payment may result in:
* A 10% late payment administration charge.
* Statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
* Recovery of reasonable legal and debt collection costs where permitted by law.
* Suspension or cancellation of current or future services until outstanding balances are paid.
6. Cancellations
Bookings cancelled before a security officer arrives may incur cancellation charges where resources have already been allocated or costs incurred.
7. Liability
Sparta Guard Security Limited may provide security services directly or arrange services through independent SIA-licensed security contractors. Where an independent contractor is engaged, they remain solely responsible for the services they provide.
Sparta Guard Security Limited’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law and shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the platform or services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
8. Insurance & Risk Assessments
All security personnel are responsible for maintaining appropriate licences, insurance and carrying out suitable risk assessments before undertaking any assignment.
9. User Conduct
Customers must not:
* Misuse the platform.
* Submit false emergency requests.
* Use the services for any unlawful purpose.
10. Intellectual Property
The Sparta Guard platform, website, branding, logos and content remain the property of UberGuard Security Limited and may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.
11. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with Sparta Guard Security Limited’s Privacy Policy and may be shared where necessary to investigate complaints, disputes or legal obligations.
12. Changes to these Terms
Sparta Guard Security Limited reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
